CLTL on Boston’s WBUR

picture-11

Radio station WBUR in Boston discussed the Changing Lives Through Literature program today on the Here and Now show. Click here to listen to the interview with CLTL co-director Jean Trounstine (click on the Listen to the Show button at the top of the page).

From their home page:

Can John Steinbeck or Toni Morrison steer someone away from crime and keep them out of jail? That’s the premise behind “Changing Lives Through Literature,” a program that offers some convicted felons a chance to attend mandatory seminars to discuss fiction, memoirs and poetry, as a condition of their probation. Our guest is Jean Trounstine, Professor of Humanities at Middlesex Community College in Lowell, Massachusetts.
