Starting a conversation about online degrees

Editor’s note:
The author of the abbreviated article below presents his case for enrolling in online degree programs and speaks specifically about online criminal justice programs. Because many of you who read this blog work in criminal justice, I ask you to submit your comments regarding this topic.

A question to get the discussion started:

Compared to traditional criminal justice degree programs, do you think online criminal justice degrees provide a comparable level of preparation for criminal justice careers?

I look forward to your comments.

A proper education is highly esteemed most anywhere in the world. Attaining a degree is regarded as a major achievement and this creates better chances for you to land a job. However not everybody gets selected in local institutions of higher learning and this has rendered many jobless. The good news is that there is online learning.

How online education is favourable

Online education has many advantages. If you have a job already and wonder if you can enroll in a criminal justice degree successfully and still work, you have nothing to worry about—online degrees are very flexible. Another great advantage is that you get to interact with other people who have different frames of mind and you can challenge yourself.

An online criminal justice degree is good for you because you get to study forensic science criminology and so many other interesting and exciting topics. When you take up an online degree, you are taught by staff who are dedicated and the best of the best.

  1. There are certain disciplines that might lend themselves to online education. I doubt literature is one of them. Perhaps criminal justice is. It would be interesting to hear from readers on this topic.

  2. A criminal justice degree, in the present scenario, is the most befitting qualification one can earn to make their way into the crime correction league. Will check for more posts on this topic.

  3. Indeed, online education is favorable for both the working professionals and students who wants to pursue academic and professional courses at a time.

  4. True, online education is definitely much favorable; especially in the case of vocational courses like criminal justice. Great opportunity for freshers and professionals.

  5. Worth-reading article. However, i don think that online criminal justice degree programs proide enough scope for hands-on experience. nd if that happens, i would prefer to call it blended learning. i have also heard that some criminal justice courses are delivered online only. cd u plz come up with a list in your next post? thanks.

  6. Criminal justice education though is one of the most popular online degrees in demand yet has been pursued by less number of students. It’s not that enrollees are facing serious issues with getting it online but with my personal experience I am stating that the proper resource available online is a bit less. Education consultants like E Degree USA as mentioned in the post could really be helpful because two of my friends Maria and Joseph have pursued Masters in criminal justice and that too from Virginia college while they were in job.
